  • Fischer's Market in Muenster has a delicious variety of fresh meats and cheeses for your culinary delight! (We recommend the Honeycomb Salami and the Smoked Garlic cheese...yummmm!!!!). Don't miss watching Fischer's large Glockenspiel clock that plays music on the hour. There are only three or four known Glockenspiels in the United States, and this is the only one known of in the state of Texas.

  • The last full weekend of every April, Muenster has their annual Germanfest.

  • Visit The Muenster Chamber of Commerce website for up-to-the minute information about the beautiful German community of Muenster, Texas!

  • The Forestburg Watermelon Festival is the 3rd Weekend in August.
  • Drive along the RED RIVER WINE TRAIL , beginning in Wichita Falls, flowing along Highway 82 to Muenster, and visit our local wineries!

  • Visit nearby Gainesville, Texas. Shop and enjoy historic downtown Gainesville, and we recommend "Sarah's on the Square" for lunch. Gainesville also has a really nice little Zoo!

  • Visit Bowie, Texas, an enthusiastic, friendly town brimming with festivals, shopping, dining, recreation and historic ambiance. Their calendar is full of Bowie Events .

  • In Muenster, enjoy a fabulous German meal at The Center (Jägerschnitzel YA!!), catfish at Rohmer's Restaurant, or a mouth-watering Reuben sandwich at Doc's Bar & Grill.
